Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 17, 2026 menopausal.me d/b/a menopausal.me ("we," "us") provides this policy for Consumer Health Data ("CHD") — information that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status — that we collect outside of HIPAA-regulated PHI (for example, through our eligibility quiz, website interactions, or before you become a patient).
This policy is separate from our Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices. Where data is HIPAA PHI, the NPP governs.
1. Categories of consumer health data we collect
- Health conditions, symptoms, and status you share (e.g., menopause/perimenopause symptoms via the quiz or forms).
- Information about health products or services you seek, purchase, or use.
- Data that identifies you seeking health care services.
- Precise location data only if you provide it; we do not collect precise geolocation to infer health status.
2. Sources
Directly from you (quiz, forms, account), and automatically from your device interactions with our site (see our Cookie Notice).
3. How we use CHD
To determine eligibility, connect you with care, provide and improve the Services, communicate with you (with consent), and for security and legal compliance. We do not use CHD for third-party or cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. How we share CHD, and with whom
- Processors/service providers that help operate the Services (hosting, communications, analytics) under contracts restricting their use.
- Care partners (clinicians, Tasso, our partner pharmacies) when you proceed with care.
- As required by law or to protect safety.
We list the categories of recipients above; we do not share CHD with data brokers or advertisers.
5. We do not sell your consumer health data
We do not sell CHD. We will not sell CHD without your valid written authorization that meets the law's specific requirements.
6. Consent
We obtain your consent before collecting CHD beyond what is necessary to provide a product or service you requested, and separate consent before sharing CHD, except where an exemption applies. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting mike@diametrics.ai; withdrawal does not affect processing already performed.
7. Your rights
You have the right to: - Confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your CHD and access it. - Delete your CHD (we will also direct our processors to delete it, subject to legal exceptions such as medical-record retention). - Withdraw consent to collection and sharing. - Appeal a denial of a request.
To exercise these rights, email mike@diametrics.ai or call 954-445-8144. You may use an authorized agent. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe the law requires (generally 45 days, extendable). If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
8. Security & retention
We protect CHD with encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging, and retain it only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as legally required, then delete or de-identify it.
